Freddie W. Luchterhand

Freddie W. Luchterhand 84 of Akron, New York passed away, unexpectedly, at home on August 19, 2016. He was born on June 22, 1932 in Swormsville, NY to the late Fred and Viola (Stahl) Luchterhand.

His wife Rose (Kolenko) predeceased Freddie in 2009. He is survived by a son, Jeff (Martha) Luchterhand of Clarence; two grandchildren, Emily and Gordon and a sister, Betty Luchterhand .

Freddie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Harrison Radiator after working there for over forty years. He was a long time member of the Akron Fire Company where he served as Second Assistant Chief for a number of years. He also was a member of the VFW Post #3180. Freddie loved hunting with a bow and a shotgun.
