William J. Lutz went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2019. William was born in Buffalo, NY on December 4, 1931 to the late William and Lola (Casper) Lutz.
William was a 1948 graduate of Burgard High School. He then served his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea, where he earned two Bronze Stars. William was a self-employed carpenter. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. William’s greatest passion was studying the bible.
His children, Bill (Pauline) Lutz, Becky (Paul) Leahey, Linda (Joe) Petroci, Ann (Andy) Black, Michael Smith, Wayne (Colleen) Elsaesser and Karen (Jeff) Schwartz, survive him. Two sisters Doris (Roger) Brewer and Suzie Miniszewski; and several grandchildren and many great grandchildren also survive him. William is predeceased by two wives, Anne (Roberts) Lutz and Janice (Elsaesser) Lutz of East Aurora; two brothers, Dick Lutz and David Lutz; a sister, Joan Campbell; and a grandson, Stephen Petroci.
Friends and relatives may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY where Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 10 a.m.
