Wayne E. Schultz

With fond remembrance, we announce the passing of Wayne E. Schultz, a loving and devoted father and friend to all whose lives he touched, on October 27, 2024. Born in Batavia, NY on June 9, 1933, Wayne lived a fulfilling 91 years filled with love, laughter, and friendship in Akron, New York.

Wayne, a 1951 graduate of Akron High School, spent his career as a printer and was a loved employee at Ford Gum & Machine Co., Akron, NY, retiring in 2020 after an impressive 62 years of service. Known for his great sense of humor, he had a knack for bringing people together and making them smile. Above all, what mattered most to Wayne was his family, and he was a beacon of love and strength for them.

He was the loving father of Deborah (Rodney) Sprang, Raymond (Cheryl) Schultz, Eric (Donna) Schultz, Dawn (Michael) Farias. Wayne was a proud grandfather to Katie, Jacob, and Emily Sprang, Megan and Parker Schultz, and Gabby and Allee Farias. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie Schultz, in 2016, as well as his parents, Richmond E. and Sarah M. Schultz, and his seven siblings. The family will receive friends at Ross Funeral Home of Akron,10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, New York, 14001, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday at 2 pm.
