Virginia Ann Benedict Miller, 93

Died surrounded by family and went to her Savior’s arms on May 4, 2021 at her home in Gallatin, TN.

Born August 7, 1927 in Elmira, NY. A graduate of Elmira Free Academy and Arnot Ogden Nursing School.  Former staff and charge nurse at: AOMC of Elmira, NY; Sisters and Deaconess hospitals, Buffalo, NY; Genesee Memorial, Batavia, NY; Millard Fillmore Suburban hospital, Williamsville, NY. She was also a hospice care nurse, a lover of music, and travelled the US and Europe. Virginia is survived by her husband of 72 years, Roy A. Miller. A resident of Akron, NY with her family for 30 years.

Virginia is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, 13 grandchildren, and children: Megan McDaniel, Steve, C.L., and Martin Miller.  She is predeceased by her children: Barbara Grandi, John, and Jeffery Miller, and her grandson Patrick McDaniel

Memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Clarence, 10790 Hunts Corners Road, Clarence, NY on May 22, at 12 PM.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her honor be made to the Newstead Fire Company, Inc., P.O. Box 386, Akron, NY 14001.
