Susan C. Aichinger

Susan Aichinger, of Akron, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, April 30, 2023. She was born in Buffalo, NY on April 16, 1966, to Gary and Betty (Schaller) Muchow.

Sue was a graduate of Williamsville North High School and went on to continue her education at SUNY Geneseo where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree. She retired as General Manager of Woodstream Nurseries in Clarence Center and was a life member of the New York State Nursery & Landscape Association. Sue was an active member at Zion Lutheran Church in Clarence Center. She enjoyed volunteering at church and at the Clarence branch of Meals on Wheels. Her love of gardening was displayed in the beautiful flower beds surrounding her home. She found great joy in caring for her beloved pets.

Loving wife of 32 years to Jeffrey Aichinger; beloved daughter of Gary and Betty Muchow; cherished sister of Michael (Wendy) Muchow, John (Rachel) Muchow, Kim (Kyle) Marusarz and was a precious aunt to Andy, Katie, Amanda, Adrienne, Jessie, Emma. Sue is also survived by her mother-in-law, Anne (late John) Aichinger; brothers-in-law, Brian Aichinger, Mark (Jennie) Aichinger, Todd (Karen) Aichinger and was an aunt to, Ryan, Paige, Megan, Gabby.

Friends and relatives may call on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 3 - 7 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11 AM. at Zion Lutheran Church, 9535 Clarence Center Road, Clarence Center, NY. Please assemble at church.
