Shawn Sundown

Shawn Sundown, of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation died suddenly on September 12, 2021, He was born in Batavia on September 25, 1966 to Grant Sundown, Sr. and Sharon (Printup) Brayley.

Shawn graduated from Oakfield High School and worked in the construction industry until the time of his death. He was a member of the Turtle Clan and loved listening to his favorite bands, the Rolling Stones and Guns & Roses.

Shawn is survived by his children, Lokota (Sam) Martin, Shawn Sundown and Shana Sundown; brothers Grant (Janell) Sundown and William Sundown, his sister, Sheila Sundown. He is also survived by six grandchildren Kamryn, Vincent, Elena, Kai, Shawn Jr., Boston and many nieces and nephews. Shawn is predeceased by his brother, Lonni Sundown.

Friends and relatives may call from 4 - 8 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC where a Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
