Sharon Lee (Curtiss) Pagels was born on May 11, 1943, in Buffalo, NY and passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 81 at Crossroads House in Batavia, NY. Sharon was a beacon of love and positivity to all who knew her.
Sharon retired from the banking industry, after serving her community with diligence and kindness as a teller for many years. Beyond her career, she had a fervor for life that was infectious. She loved traveling, gardening, cooking, and the Buffalo Bills. Sharon knew how to have a good time. She loved snowmobiling, skiing, concerts, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, William L. Pagels, and their children and stepchildren: Kim Martin, Michelle (Dan) Wojewoda, Susan Doll, Theresa (Kurt) Neibacher, Robert LaPort, Kathryn Cleveland (Robert Patterson) and William Patrick "Rick" (Alma) Pagels as well as 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Marian Curtiss, brother Richard Curtiss and daughter Andrea Sawtell.
A memorial service in honor of Sharon will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 3 pm at the American Legion, 9 Eckerson Avenue in Akron.
