Russell James Ormsby

Russell James Ormsby, age 70 of Akron, NY passed away on September 16th in Portland, Oregon celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Russell James Ormsby was born on June 25th, 1954 to his late parents Russell James Ormsby and Lydia (Lee) Ormsby.

After Russ graduated from Akron Central School in 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly (Blasko) Ormsby. They had four children and was a loving father to, Jacqueline (Nathan) Nielsen of Leeds, ME; Jennifer (Lee) Salmon of Akron, NY; Russell (Rusty) James Ormsby Jr. of Akron, NY; and Robert (Lisa) Ormsby of San Diego, CA. Russell was a loving brother to Alan James (Cheryl) Ormsby and nephew, Aaron Ormsby of Lakewood, FL and a loving Papa to his grandchildren: London, Nicholas, Zarielle, Alexis, Russel James IV (RJ), Vendulka, Alois, and Emma and 2 great grandchildren. He is survived by a large family of many brother in-laws and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at One Church, 6 Scotland Road, Akron, NY 14001.
