Roy Allen Miller died surrounded by family at age 98 on February 22, 2024 at his home in Gallatin, TN. Born December 30, 1925 in Buffalo.
He was a Sunday School teacher, a talented do-it-yourselfer, and travelled the US and Europe. Roy was a Veteran of WWII, Seaman First Class, US Navy. He was a long-time employee of Oakgrove Construction, Elma, NY until retirement in 1987 and a member of Operating Engineers Local 17. While employed he worked on construction of the Rich Stadium in Orchard Park. A Bills fan and Akron resident for 30 years.
Roy is predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Virginia. Survived by 3 great-great-grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 13 grandchildren, and children: Megan McDaniel, Steve, C.L., and Martin Miller. Predeceased by his children: Barbara Grandi, John, and Jeffery Miller, and grandson Patrick McDaniel.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Clarence, 10790 Hunts Corners Road, Clarence, NY on May 25, at 2:00 PM.
