Ronald H. Hatcher of Akron, passed away on November 19, 2021. He was born in Corning, New York on October 25, 1939 to the late Harry and Sarah Hatcher.
He honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his service Ronald relocated to Western New York, where he met and married his wife of over 59 years. He was a dedicated employee of Perry’s Ice Cream for over 28 years and was a member of the local VFW Post #3180. Ron was an avid sports fan. He followed both minor and major league teams, from the Yankees to the Sabres.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Brackett) Hatcher; beloved children Lonn (Barbara) Hatcher and Amy (William) Bruce; cherished grandchildren, Zachary and Trevor (Tennessee) Hatcher. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Parker, Dustin, and Spencer as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by several brothers and a sister.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will take place at the Western New York National Cemetery on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Charitable contributions may be made in Ron's memory to S.PC.A. Buffalo, 300 Harlem Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224.
