Roger A. Fiegel, a loving, adventurous, and loyal man, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 26, 2025, in his residence in Akron, NY. Born on June 10, 1934, in Lockport, NY to the late Arthur and Lydia (Raduns) Fiegel, Roger led a fulfilling life that touched and enriched many others. His life was characterized by his unwavering love for his family, his loyalty to his friends, and his adventurous spirit that was beautifully reflected in his hobbies.
Roger honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 and worked as a skilled tradesman in the automotive industry at Harrison Radiator until his retirement in 1992. His adventurous spirit shone through in his love for snowmobiling, camping, hunting, fishing, and the Boy Scouts especially when he included his grandchildren in these activities. He also held a steadfast commitment to serving his community, as evidenced by his longtime membership in Trinity Lutheran Church and his active participation in the Wolcottsville Fire Company for 72 years. Yet, what mattered most to Roger was his family and his faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, demonstrated by his deep affection for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Roger predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years Dora (Cummings) Fiegel. He is survived by his beloved children, Connie (Rick) Parson, Scott (Bonnie) Fiegel, and Todd (Krista) Fiegel. He was the cherished grandfather of Daniel Frank, David (Jenna) Frank, Kyle Fiegel, Donna Fiegel, Devon Fiegel, and Ashtin Fiegel; and a proud great grandfather of Adryonna, Everly, Elwood, Jaxson, Byrdie, and Maizley. He is also survived by his dear sister, Judy (late David) Colton. Roger was also preceded in death by his sister Norma Lescarbeau.
