Roberta Lobur

Roberta Lobur, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023 at Buffalo General Hospital at the age of 87. Roberta, affectionately known as Bobbie, was born in Buffalo, New York to the late Harvey and Ruth (Holz) Kinne. 

Following her high school graduation from Akron Central in 1954, Roberta's dedication and drive led her to further her education and become a licensed beautician. On July 30, 1955, she married James Lobur and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship spanning 68 years. A reliable pillar in the community, Roberta ran her own beauty salon for over 30 years. Her spirit of service extended beyond her professional life, as she was actively involved in the local food pantry at Trinity Lutheran church, the Erie County board of elections, and the Village of Akron planning board. Her heart was always full of love for her family, which mattered to her most. 

She was the beloved wife of James Lobur, and cherished mother to Ronald (Cynthia) Lobur, Richard Lobur, and Thomas (Jennifer) Lobur. She was the adored grandmother of Sarah, Rebekah, Adam, Amanda, Nicole (Kierstyn), Jessica, Daniel (Emily), and Aaron, and the proud great-grandmother of Autumn. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will dearly miss her.

A Memorial Gathering will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Newstead, 4809 South Newstead Rd., Akron, NY 14001. with a Service immediately following at 12:00 PM. Arrangements by Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. Charitable Contributions may be made in Roberta's memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Newstead or the Akron Newstead Food Pantry.
