Robert J. Wagner

Robert Wagner, known affectionately by many as Bob, passed away on November 1, 2024. A man of many passions, Robert was known for his love of golf, particularly at the Grover Cleveland Golf Course where he was a familiar face. He was a devout Yankees fan, steadfastly supporting the team in both victory and defeat. His love for the outdoors was also evident in his enthusiasm for hunting, a hobby that he enjoyed immensely.

Robert was not just a man of leisure, however; he was also an active member of the Hawkeye Bowmen Archery Club. Here, he became a recognizable figure, always ready to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge of archery with newer members. His dedication to the club was a testament to his character - always willing to contribute and share his passions with others.

Robert was a loving father to Donna (Paul) McAllister, Robert (Kathleen Ciancio) Wagner III, and Julie (David) Banach, and the late Glen D. Wagner. He was a cherished grandfather to Robert (Kristen) Banach, Jennifer Wagner, Jason Banach, Robert (Lacey) Wagner IV, Justin Bain, and David James Walter; proud great grandfather to Makayla and Layla. His memory will also live on in the many nieces, nephews, and friends he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Robert's life on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 5771 Buell Street, Akron, NY 14001.
