Robert L. Brucker, of Akron, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 20, 2022. He was born in Akron, NY on June 11, 1939 to the late Lloyd and Margaret (Peters) Brucker.
Bob was a 1957 graduate of Akron Central High School, where his career spanned 30 years as bus mechanic. He retired in 1985. Bob’s hobbies included hunting and fishing but his farm was his real passion. He always looked forward to coffee with the guys every Monday and Friday.
Loving husband of Sandra (Stockman) Brucker; beloved father of Anne (Todd) Lotz, Michael Brucker, and Jennifer (Tim) Manchester; cherished grandfather of Michael (Jamie) Lotz, Joseph (Erin) Lotz, Steven (Nicole) Lotz, and Brittany Manchester; proud great grandfather of Grace, Evan, and Carson Lotz. He is also survived by a sister, Joan (Ron) Utton and two nieces and former wife, Rosemary Brucker. Robert is predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl A. Brucker. Bob will be especially missed by his loyal companion, Bear.
Friends and relatives may call on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 10 – 11AM with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 AM. at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001. If desired, memorial donations may be made in Bob's memory to The Wolcottsville Fire Company or Hospice Buffalo.
