Richmond C. Smith "Rick" passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024. He was born on November 29, 1941, in Buffalo, NY to the late Richmond and Leota (Pagels) Smith.
Rick was a talented draftsman, dedicating many years of his life to the manufacturing industry at Sylvania in Batavia, NY before his well-earned retirement. His work was not just a job, but a testament to his meticulous nature and a showcase of his dedication to detail. Rick's interests were as varied as his life, from the thunderous beats of his drums to the serene quiet of a fishing spot. He was a collector of antique cars, and an active participant and organizer of the Niagara County Car Show for many years, a testament to his passion for classic automobiles. He was also an active participant in The Akron Jaycees. Rick loved his dogs dearly, each one a cherished companion and friend. He may have departed this world, but his spirit and memories live on in the hearts of his many cousins and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM. To honor Rick's life, we invite you to leave your cherished memories and upload photos of him to the memorial page.
