Richard E. Warner

Richard E. Warner, Jr. of Akron, passed away on January 31, 2022. He was born in Batavia, New York on November 27, 1950 to the late Richard Warner, Sr. and Pauline (Grice) Silvernail.

Rick was a 1969 graduate of Pembroke High School. Upon graduation he began working for Williams Poultry Farm and then went to work for Kreher’s. Rick retired from Perry’s Ice Cream in 2016. He married Teresa (Schumacher) on March 24,1973 and they raised two children together. Rick loved to travel. He and Teresa started travelling even more after his retirement. They especially loved taking day trips together.

Loving husband of Teresa (Schumacher) Warner; cherished father of Denise (David) Ambrose, and Michael Warner; proud grandfather of Sara Graff-Warner, Sam Ambrose, and Evan Ambrose; beloved brother of Christine Ayala. dear brother-in-law of Francis (Norma) Schumacher, Sharon (late Thomas) Schumacher, John (Karen) Schumacher, Joseph (Cheryl) Schumacher, and Anthony (Mary Jo) Schumacher. Rick is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Joan Klotzbach.

Friends and relatives may call on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2-5 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron, NY.  A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 7, 2022 with burial in St. Teresa's Cemetery, 13482 Bloomingdale Rd.,  Akron, NY.
