Richard E. Roesch, Sr.

Richard E. Roesch, Sr., aged 75, of Akron, NY, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025. Born on May 24, 1950, in Batavia, NY, to the late Eugene Roesch and Gladys Ebersold, Richard dedicated his life to the service of his family, community, and the New Life Assembly of God Church in Depew, NY, where he served as a deacon.

Rick was a retired machinist from PBC Piezotronics in Depew, NY, where he spent his career in the aerospace industry. His love for his work was only surpassed by his passion for astronomy, car shows, and swap meets. He had a love of race cars and muscle cars and spent many weekends at Lancaster Speedway as a spectator and in his younger days, racing at the amateur level. He found great joy in the outdoors and restoring cars, always ready to lend a helping hand. He treasured the moments he shared with his beloved granddaughter Emily—especially their lunches at Tully's, teaming up for Girl Scout Cookie Pickups, and helping her troop refinish the Akron library benches for her Silver Award.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Jeffrey (Tabb) Roesch, Richard (Judy) Roesch, Jr., Paul (Molly) Goldfuss, John (Christine) Ball, Jr., Kristen (Chad) Cummings, Tracy (Vern) Martell, Melissa (Chris) Hoffhines. He was a cherished grandfather of Emma, Breanna, Braeden, Jayden, Owen, John III, Jessica, Emily, Faith, Gabrielle, Tyler, Corey, Alivia, and great-grandfather to Roman, Nova, and Ariya. Richard E. was predeceased by his first wife, Sandy Roesch, and his sister, Sheila Byers. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A Homecoming Service for Rick will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 410 French Road, Depew, New York, 14043 with a luncheon to follow.
