Norman A. Blosser, of Lockport, NY, born on Christmas Day in 1942, passed away on June 15, 2026. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Norman's love for his family and his community was evident in everything he did. Known affectionately as Norm, he was a pillar of strength to those who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
Norman enjoyed a fulfilling career with General Motors as a Press Man before retiring. His dedication to his work was matched only by his love for Blosser Farms, where he raised grains, beef cattle, and hogs with a passion that never waned. A staunch fan of John Deere tractors, he found joy in the simple act of making hay. He was an active member of the Niagara County Tractor Pullers, Niagara County 4H and a 4H sponsor later in life. Norm’s commitment to his community was unwavering, and his contributions to these organizations were invaluable.
Norman was the loving husband of the late Linda Blosser, to whom he was married for over 51 years. He was a cherished father to Mary Lou (Robert) Groff and a proud grandfather to Robert (Katie) Groff, Jr., Joshua (Ashley Friedman) Groff and great grandfather to Odin Groff. Norm is also survived by his inlaws, Gerald Smith, Rose (Marshall) Criswell, Carol Cummings, Judy Smith, and Cheri Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edna Blosser, his beloved wife, Linda, and his dear sister, Shirley (late Melvin) Roberts.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 22, 2026.
Norman's memory will continue to be honored through charitable contributions to Niagara Hospice, Niagara County 4H, or the Wolcottsville Fire Co. Please share your memories of Norman and upload photos to his memorial page.
