Nancy L. Hite

Nancy L. Hite, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021. She was born in Rochester, NY on November 18, 1940 to the late Ernest and Dorothy (Ott) Corts.

She graduated from Geneseo with a bachelor’s degree. While in college, Nancy met and married her husband of almost 50 years, William Hite. Nancy was a second grade teacher for many years in the Leroy School District.

Loving mother of William (Elizabeth) Hite, Kevin (Kathleen) Hite, and Coby (David) Hunt; loving grandmother of ten. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; a sister, Sherry (William) Straight and several nieces and nephews. Nancy is predeceased by her husband, William Hite; a daughter, Sherry Jo Hite and a brother, Linus Corts.

Some of Nancy’s most treasured memories were of her time spent on Honeyoe Lake.  She loved to travel and for many years could be found enjoying those trips from the back of a motorcycle.  A selfless mother, attentive grandmother, and dear friend to many …. She will be greatly missed.

Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. Services will be private.
