Mona Gaddis, a beloved mother, grandmother, teacher, and deacon, passed away on April 12, 2025. She was born on April 20, 1939 in Curwensville, PA to the late Alvin and Elizabeth (Taylor) Fisher. She was the cherished wife of the late Robert Gaddis, and her unwavering love and dedication to her family defined her life.
Mona was not just a devoted family woman, but also a passionate educator who taught English and French. She touched the lives of countless students, instilling in them a love for language and literature. Her commitment to education was matched only by her faith. As a Deacon at Calvary Episcopal Church, Mona provided spiritual guidance and support to her congregation, embodying the values she held dear and inspiring others to do the same.
She is survived by her loving son, Perry Gaddis, and daughter, Libby Hausler (Daniel). Mona was also a proud grandmother to Elaina and Joseph Hausler; and a dear sister to Gordon Fisher in Curwensville, PA whose lives she enriched with her warmth, wisdom, and love.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 4275 Harris Hill Rd., Clarence, NY 14031.
