Milton D. Cummings, entered into rest on November 28, 2023. Born on August 14, 1948, in Lockport, NY, to the late Warren and Margaret (Reigle) Cummings. Milton was a devoted father, loving brother, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend. He made a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to cross his path.
Milton was a man of enduring strength and unwavering commitment. He served his country valiantly in the US Army from 1968 to 1970, a period of his life he was immensely proud of. His work ethic was incomparable, as evidenced by his dedicated service at General Motors in Lockport, NY until his retirement. Yet, Milton was not all work. He found pleasure in life's simpler joys - the rhythmic roll of a bowling ball, the silent vigil of deer hunting, the roaring engines of a NASCAR race, and the thrill of a football or baseball game especially those played by his grandkids. He also was very active within his church family and served as a Deacon. His laughter and competitive spirit were infectious during card and game nights, particularly when he played with his beloved grandkids, Carter Cummings, Jackson and Jameson Nice.
He was a beloved father to Kristie (Pete Hennessy) Cummings, Todd Cummings, and Amanda (Craig) Nice. His love extended to his cherished grandchildren: Carter Cummings, Jackson, and Jameson Nice. He was a loving brother to Leslie (Marsha) Cummings, Larry (Diane) Cummings, Janice (Gary) Cummings, Sue (Mike) Ribbeck, and the late Leon (Tootie) Cummings, Beverly (Tom) Berndt, Roy Rosenberg, Bea Gill, and a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. A constant companion to Judy McHenry, Milton was a pillar of strength and comfort to those around him.
