Michael E. Brown

Michael E. Brown, 76, of Akron, NY,  husband of Linda D. (Miller) Brown entered into rest on Monday August 24, 2026 at Harris Hill Nursing Facility. Born in Buffalo, NY on September 1, 1949 to the late John and Norma (Klein) Brown. Mike was a Clarence Central School graduate and a retired groundskeeper from Akron Falls Park and the owner and operator of Akron Custom Reloading. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, shooting, and vacationing at Black Lake. Mike was a member of the Akron Gun Club, and a current member of the Oakfield Rod and Gun Club, he was an exempt member of the Akron Fire Co. where he served as an EMT and notable fixture at Freeman’s Gun Shop for many years.

Surviving is his wife, Linda D. Brown; their children,  Kelly L. Brown (Tom Nappo) and Michael S. (Kelly) Brown; His siblings, David (Patty) Brown and Deborah Brown, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Ross Funeral Home of Akron LLC. 10 Eckerson Ave. Akron, NY 14001 on Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be held at the Akron Fire Company, 1 Main St. Akron, NY 14001 following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Akron Fire Dept. in memory of Michael.
