Matthew Alan Brown, known to most as Matt, of Clarence, NY, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 surrounded by his family. Matthew was born on February 12, 1959, and throughout his 66 years, he lived a life of love and thoughtfulness, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Matthew was a loving soul, with a heart that was as big as his personality. He had a love for camping, hunting and fishing and when he wasn’t enjoying nature, he was spending his free time at music festivals. His love of nature and music were only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. He had a knack for finding just the right item at flea markets and garage sales, always on the hunt for a hidden treasure, and he was known for his ability to fix anything. He was also an avid Bills and Sabres fan, sharing the elation of victories and the disappointment of losses with his fellow fans. But what mattered most to Matthew was his relationships with those he held dear. He was a close friend to many and was well-loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Matthew is survived by his long time partner, Denise Dock; his children, Corey (Diana) Nicoletta, Molly Nicoletta, Patrick Brown, Ian (Jessica) Brown, Grant Dock; and his grandchildren, Thomas, Destiny, Autumn, Maryella and Tyler. He also leaves behind his siblings, Larry (Peggy) Brown, Catherine (Michael) Buckley, Scott (Margaret) Brown, and Lori (Matthew) Welch; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved Catahoula Stella-Blue. Each of these individuals were touched by Matthew's loving and thoughtful spirit, and will carry a piece of him in their hearts forever.
