Mary Francis Hollfelder, known affectionately to many as Fran, entered into eternal rest on December 01, 2024. She was born on April 4, 1963, in Rochester, NY to the late Thomas and Lee (Sullivan) Shafer. Fran was widowed, having lost her beloved husband, Edward Hollfelder, in 2022. Fran was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt and cousin to a family who loved her deeply.
Fran spent the majority of her career in the food service industry as a food server, sharing her warm and friendly nature with everyone. Fran was known for her infectious laughter and love for life, often being the life of the party. She had a special knack for making those around her feel welcomed and loved. From 1985 to 2004, Fran lived in Florida, where her daughter Kendra was born.
She is survived by her daughter, Kendra (Michael) Buley; her siblings, Michael Shafer, Maureen (Late Greg) Smallwood, and Linda (David) Colt; her grandsons, Neko Lieberman-Castle and Noah Castle; her niece Crystal Colt and great-niece Ariana Salgado. She also leaves behind many cousins and a host of friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We invite all who knew Fran to share memories and upload photos to her memorial page.
