With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marion G. Bruning on December 17, 2023. Born on May 15, 1938, in Alabama, NY, Marion was an embodiment of strength, determination, and immense love for her family.
As a dedicated farmer, she spent her days tending to the land and nurturing the earth in Akron, New York. Her work in agriculture was not just her livelihood, it was a testament to her unwavering spirit and a reflection of her deep-rooted connection to the soil she so cherished. Marion was a woman of many interests. She found joy in the simplest of things, like the strategic thrill of a Euchre game or the intellectual challenge of a Sudoku or crossword puzzle. Above all, Marion was a beloved family member. Never married, she chose to pour her love into her extended family, taking immense pride in being an aunt to several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Her love for her family was boundless and she was a constant source of strength and support. Marion is survived by her sister-in-law, Janice Bruning, and joins her parents, Carl and Grace Bruning and brother, Harold Bruning in eternal rest.
Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Newstead, 4809 South Newstead Road, Akron, NY where a Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 PM.
Marion's life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and the bonds of family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. We invite you to share your memories of her, to upload photos, and to help us celebrate her remarkable life on her memorial page.
