Lois McCloy Obituary

Lois Arlene McCloy passed away December 10th, 2020.  She was born September 2, 1932 to Eugene Highhouse and Leila Nichols Highhouse.  

Lockport born and raised, she was in the last graduating class, LHS 1950, that stood by the Palace Theater. She then attended and graduated from St. Joseph's Business School. Lois' first job was Harrison Radiator Main Plant.  Lois married James McCloy on October 11th 1952. They settled in Middleport where Lois was a Girl Scout Leader, active in the local Bridge Club, and the Barge Canal Art Show where they sold Jim's woodcarvings that Lois painted, selling out almost every show.  Eventually Lois and Jim ended up working at Fisher Price in Medina. Both retired from Fisher Price World Headquarters in East Aurora, NY and started a new adventure by moving to New Mexico. After Jim's passing in 2006, Lois moved to Denver in 2008 with Randal. Recently in 2015, she moved back to Lockport to stay with Darcey.

Lois is survived by her son, Randal (Suzanne) McCloy and daughter, Darcey McCloy; granddaughters, Lindsay (Tim) Olewniczak, Alissa (Thiago) Suzano, and Chelsea (Evan) Redmond and 6 great grandchildren. Lois is predeceased by brother Leland, and sisters Helen (Edmund) Kubiak and Carolyn (Jack) Walters.
