Lester "Gary" Cummings

Lester Cummings, also known as Gary, was born on September 20, 1946, in Newstead, NY, and passed away on February 3, 2025 in Akron, NY. He was a beloved member of the community, known for his philanthropic nature and his love for helping others.

He was an integral part of the automotive industry, where he diligently served in the shipping department of Harrison Radiator until his retirement. Gary was an ardent Yankees fan and was often found cheering on his team. His love for fishing and his deep affection for animals were the other passions that filled his life.

He was the dear husband of the late Janice, with whom he spent over 50 years of wedded bliss. He was the proud and loving father to Jerold Cummings and Denise Adderly. His grandchildren, Blaize and Dain Adderly, and his great-granddaughter, Arwen Adderly, held a special place in his heart. Gary was the cherished brother to Linda (late Mike) Eldred and Becky Incorvaria. Besides his wife Janice, Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Viola (Stanley) Cummings. He was a loving family man, a doting grandfather, and a dear friend to many. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
