Lawerence R. Laude, of Akron, NY, affectionately known as The Loon, passed away on December 10, 2024. Born on August 25, 1962, in Batavia, NY. Lawerence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Lawerence led a fulfilling life as a trader/barterer. He enjoyed the thrill and challenge of buying low and selling high, always hoping for a good return. Bartering wasn’t just a hobby for him – it was his way of life. He was tenacious and resourceful. His knack for getting by was a testament to his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Lawerence was one-of-a-kind. He had bright blue eyes and a mischievous grin. He had a passion for cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, horticulture, and making people laugh. He always had an appetite for adventure, good times, and seafood.
Lawerence is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; his children, Tiffany (Dan) Wetzler and Lawrence Laude; his siblings, Cindy (Dave) Baker, Renee (Greg) Marek, Bradley (Lynda) Laude, Ronette (Joseph) Laude, and Thomas (Ashley) Laude; and five cherished grandchildren. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Lawerence was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Dorothea (McCoy) Laude, and a son, John Laude.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, located at 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, New York, 14001. A burial with military honors will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 20, 2024, at the WNY National Cemetery, located at 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, New York, 14036.
