Kenneth J. VanBuren

Kenneth J. VanBuren, passed away on January 22, 2020. He was born in Lockport, NY on October 21,1936 to the late Clifford and Dorothy (Roszman) VanBuren.

Ken was a 1954 graduate of Akron Central High School. He worked as an engineer at Harrison Radiator and retired from GM. He was almost a 60 year member and past master of the Gasport Masonic Lodge 787. He was a licensed pilot, avid reader, and enjoyed his yearly trips to Black Lake.

Loving husband of Marion (Wolter) VanBuren; beloved father of Kevin VanBuren, Kyra (Jay) Sheehan, Allan (Lisa) VanBuren and Brian (Lisa) VanBuren; cherished grandfather of Chelsea, Courtney, Cameron, Jordan, Erica, and Miranda VanBuren. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Walters and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, Jane (Barnes) VanBuren in 1972 and brother-in-law, Donald Walters.

Friends and relatives may call from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, February 1 at St Michael’s Lutheran Church, 6377 Wolcottsville Road where a Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
