Kathleen Cegielski, born on May 3, 1945 in Buffalo, NY was a thoughtful soul who spent her life focusing on the happiness of those around her. She was generous in spirit and loved by many. She was a retired Medical Transcriptionist who put her heart into her work and shared her vibrant spirit with everyone she met. Kathleen had an unwavering love for Her Lord, the Native American Indian culture, Carlos Santana, and the simple joy of playing bingo. She delighted in the tranquil peace that came with watching PBS and savored the adventures of little road trips.
Although Kathleen never had children of her own, her loving nature shone through in the way she treated her nieces and nephews. She was a doting aunt to Michelle (Craig) Davison, Denise (Joseph) Carey-Costa, and Sean (Jennifer) Carey, and a proud great aunt to Mariel Davison, Madison, Alex, and Connor Carey. She was a dear sister-in-law to Marilynn Carey and is also survived by several cousins. Her friendships with Mayme Egan, Marilyn Morin, and Judy McMullen, were cherished and enriched her life greatly. Besides her parents Edward and Helen (Bierznski) Cegielski, her brother, Dennis Carey, preceded her in death.
Kathleen was a spirited woman who understood the value of family and friendship. She made every moment count, whether it was spending quality time with her loved ones or immersing herself in her various hobbies. Her laughter, her kindness, and her love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
To celebrate Kathleen's life, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Vine Wesleyan Church, 425 Penora St, Depew, NY 14043.
We encourage friends and family to leave their fondest memories of Kathleen on her memorial page. Photos that capture precious moments with Kathleen are also welcome.
