Karen Mathies Merkling-Bartolotta of Clarence died on January 11, 2026. Born on January 24, 1948 to William and Eleanor Matheis, Karen attended Christian Academy Elementary, School, Mill Street Middle School and Williamsville South High School, graduating in 1966.

She worked at Marine Midland Bank as a teller. She was involved in the Harris Hill Mother's Club. She was a sister, wife, mother, and aunt. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on August 29, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., located at 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001.
