Joan Rose Antonicelli, a loving and strong willed woman, passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on October 12, 1934, in Cheektowaga, NY, Joan was a true testament to the strength of her spirit.
She was a lifelong resident of Corfu, New York, where she was known not only for her caring nature but also for her passion for life. She had a love for family dinners, gardening, crocheting delicate doilies and walking. Her dedication extended beyond her home, as she served in the Rosary Society for many years at Our Lady of Peace Church. She was also the proud owner and secretary of Antone's Mobile Home Park and worked as a florist in the family business, H.C. Lehde. These achievements, although significant, pale in comparison to the love and dedication she had for her family.
Joan leaves behind a loving family: her children Stephen Antonicelli, Pamela (Kevin) Lakin, Marietta (Robert) Phillips, and Vincent (Amy) Antonicelli; her cherished sisters Marjorie (late George) Sheehan, Alice (late Richard) Kent, and Diane (late James) Wheeler. She was also a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a fond aunt to several nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death in 2015 by her husband of 57 years, Vincent James Antonicelli, her son, James Antonicelli in 1980, and her parents, Curtis and Marjorie Lehde.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Church in Clarence.
