Jeffrey Sylor Obituary

Jeffrey Sylor, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 3, 2023. He was born in Buffalo, NY on December 14, 1941 to the late Merlin and Audrey (Farrell) Sylor.

He was a 1960 graduate of Akron Central School and retired after 39 years working as a serviceman for National Fuel. He was an avid collector of coins, enjoyed bird watching, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. He especially loved taking road trips with his wife and going to the casino.  

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of over 41 years, Diane (Fogelsonger) Sylor; his children, Allison (George) Poulios, Steven (Danielle) Witt, Daniel Sylor, and Colleen Salmon; his grandchildren, Norah, Theodore, Owen, and Alexander. He is also survived by a sister, Janice (Thomas) Mundle and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, James Bryant and a sister, Kay Kiec.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with an 11:00 AM, Funeral Service on Friday, April 7, 2023 at  Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeffrey's name to Hospice Buffalo.
