James Schoenwetter Obituary

James C Schoenwetter, fondly known as Jim by those close to him, passed away on June 6, 2024 in Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

He was a 1991 graduate of Akron Central High School.

Following his graduation, he went on to serve in the U S Navy. He was a "Carry on  equipment technician"  aboard submarines, displaying a level of dedication that was truly admirable. His time in the service was a testament to his character.

Following his military service, he was employed by General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT. where he became a respected Senior Management Systems Specialist. Jim's passion for computers and new technology was not limited to his career. In his free time, he would often immerse himself in the digital world, exploring the latest innovations and advancements. His dedication to his work was as much of a hobby as it was a profession, a testament to his love for what he did. Despite the demands of his professional life, he was never too busy for those he held dear.

Beloved son of Carl (Janice) Schoenwetter and Pauline (late Bill) Lutz: loving brother of Jeffery (Kelley) Schoenwetter, Philip Mathews, and Mary (Brian) Hamm; fond uncle of Mallory, and Austin Schoenwetter and Rory Hamm; dear nephew of Paul (Shirley) Schoenwetter.
