Glenn R. Wheeler, departed this world on December 27, 2024. He was born on September 22, 1942, in Buffalo, NY to the late George and Kathryn (Rubritz) Wheeler.
Glenn was a man of many talents. As a skilled Maintenance Machinist at American Axle, he prided himself on his ability to fix anything that came his way. This skill extended far beyond his professional life and into his personal one. He was the Wheeler family's go-to handyman, always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge. Retired but never idle, Glenn found joy in golfing, a sport where his focus and precision shone. His love for tinkering was evident, whether he was fine-tuning a golf swing or solving a mechanical puzzle. Above all, Glenn cherished his family.
He was a loving father to Jeff (Karen) Wheeler and Greg (Leslie) Wheeler, and a proud grandfather to four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a dear brother to Jim (Barb) Wheeler, Earl Wheeler, and Marsha DeMan. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Telfair) Wheeler, whom he loved dearly, his son Brian Wheeler, and his parents George and Kathryn Wheeler. His love, kindness, and guidance will be sorely missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. We invite all who knew Glenn to celebrate his life by sharing memories and photos on his memorial page..
