Gary "Woofer" R. Stone II

Gary R. Stone II of Akron, NY, went home to be with the Lord after a brief Illness on February 17, 2022. He was born on September 24,1964 in Batavia, New York to Delores (Meiser) Bower and the late Gary R. Stone.    

Gary better known as Woofer, was a 1982 graduate of Akron Central High School. He married Bonnie (Stoldt) on August 17, 1985 and together they raised two children. Woofer enjoyed fishing in his spare time and had a passion for cars and trucks. He enjoyed taking something broken and making it shine again. He loved life, family, and friends and enriched the lives of many. He will be greatly missed by all.

Loving husband of Bonnie Stone; beloved father of Jamie (Matt Dean) Stone and Robert M. Stone; cherished son of Delores Bower and Louie Jendresky; dear brother of Denise (Darin) Schultz and Debra (Tim) Susfolk.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Woofer is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Stone and a sister, Dracy Jagielo.

Friends and family are invited to A Celebration of Woofer’s Life on Saturday, March 5. Luncheon and memories from 2-6 p.m. with pastoral remarks at 4 p.m. at the American Legion, 9 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY.
