Ernest Ninham, a lifelong resident of Basom, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 8, 2024. Born in Buffalo, NY on September 25, 1966, Ernest dedicated his life to public service and the preservation of nature as a Forest Fire Fighter for the State of California. Ernest was a proud member of the Turtle Clan of the Tonawanda Seneca Nation.
Ernest was never married but was deeply loved by his large family. His love for life was expressed through his hobbies. He was an avid player of floor hockey and pool, and he had a deep appreciation for all outdoor sports. His kind-hearted spirit will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Ernest is survived by his siblings, John (Darleen) Jonathan, Kevin Ninham, Derrick Ninham, Cheryl Ninham, Pamela Ninham, Sandy Ninham, Richard Ninham, Robert (Rae) Ninham, and Christopher Ninham. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joan Ninham.
A Funeral Service will be held in honor of Ernest on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Ross Funeral Home of Akron, located at 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001. We invite you to share your favorite memories of Ernest or upload photos of him to the memorial page.
