Eleanor Mae Toven, affectionately known as Ellie, took her final bow on February 28, 2025. Born on September 19, 1934, in Buffalo, NY. A creative soul, Eleanor transformed her home into a haven of warmth, love, and a treasure trove of her creative pursuits.
She was a loving mother to Michelle (Anthony) Armstrong, and a doting grandmother to Heather (Tyler Janiszewski) Armstrong and Anthony W. Armstrong whom survive her. Her mother, Charlotte Boetcher, preceded her in death. Eleanor's zest for life was evident in her hobbies. She found joy in paint by numbers, knitting, bowling, diamond painting, and ceramics, each hobby representing a colorful thread in the tapestry of her life. Eleanor's love and devotion were not confined to her human family alone. Her beloved dog, Hercules, held a special place in her heart and was the recipient of her boundless affection.
Eleanor's life was a testament to the profound power of love and the boundless potential of creativity. She was a beacon of warmth and tenderness, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know her. Eleanor made us feel loved, cherished, and valued. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. We invite you to celebrate Eleanor's life by sharing your memories and photographs on her memorial page. The stories you share will serve as a lasting tribute to Eleanor's extraordinary life and the love she shared with us all.
