Elaine A. Golding, 88, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. Born on January 31, 1938 in Akron, NY to the late William and Viola Groff, she was a lifelong resident and a beloved member of her community. After a dedicated 30-year career in retail management with Goodwill she happily retired, spending her free time in the pursuits she loved most.
Elaine was a vibrant and spirited woman, equally known for her stubbornness as for her joy. She was an excellent cook, a lover of pizza in all its forms, and a nurturing caretaker of her beloved dogs, especially Spunky. She enjoyed trips to the Batavia Downs casino, tending to her garden, and voyages to the Caribbean on cruises, but what mattered most to Elaine was her family.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Golding Jr., her grandson Billy (Brandy) Golding, her granddaughter Alysia Fisher, and ten of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Gregory (Carol) Golding, Ralph A. Golding III, Dawn (David) Fisher, and Laura Ribbeck; her brothers, Harold (Becky) Groff and Ronald (late Bett) Groff; her grandchildren, Sam (Michelle) Golding, Jamie Lotz, Tabitha (Rick DeGeest), Ralph A. Golding IV, Amanda Fisher, Angela Fisher, Parker Ribbeck, and Lawson Ribbeck; ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
We invite all who loved Elaine to share their memories and photos on her memorial page.
