Edward A. Place

Edward Place, of Akron went home to be with his Lord on August 25, 2022.

Edward is survived by his step children Timothy (Christine) Morgan, and Patrick (Maryann) Morgan; his grandchildren James (Alyssa) Morgan, Amanda (Lee) Wilson, Samantha (Kate) Morgan/Urtz, Claire (Rob) Pitzonka and six great-grandchildren. Also survived by his children Terry (Valerie) Place, Cindy (Rick) Barnhart and grandchildren Travis Place, Kaleigh Barnhart. He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years Dolores (Morgan) Place.

Ed was a skilled millwright who set some of the largest manufacturing equipment in WNY including machinery at the Chevy Foundry and Dunlop Tire. Ed's true passion was the great outdoors. He spent countless hours fishing and hunting with his favorite being pursing big game with his bow. He deeply loved his high school sweetheart and wife, Dolores, and will be sorely missed by his stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives may call on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 5 - 7 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11 AM. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4809 S. Newstead Road, Akron, New York. (Please assemble at church).
