Dorothy King

KING-Dorothy Age 72, of Akron, NY. passed away on October 25th, 2021, following an illness. Born on October 16th, 1949 to the late Franklin and Carol (nee Brance) Swader;

Wife to the late Michael King; sister to Robert (Arline) Swader and Edna Bower; loving mother to Deanna (Keith Graff) Borden, Steven Borden, Todd (Debbie) Carr, Michael (Jody) King, and Michelle King. Dorothy is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 15 great nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her great-nephew, Daniel Swader.

Dorothy was very passionate about her crocheting, she was always willing to make blankets for everyone. She worked in food services at Akron Central School for many years. Dorothy was also a member of the L.L. Tillman Post 900.

The family will be present Monday, November 1st from 4-8PM to receive friends at ROSS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave, Akron, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd at Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY at 11AM.
