Dolores Morgan (nee Miller) Place went home to heaven to join her God & Savior on November 6, 2021.
Loving wife of Edward Place for 31 years. Dedicated mother of Timothy (Christine) Morgan & Patrick (Maryann) Morgan. Proud grandmother of James (Alyssa) Morgan, Amanda (Lee) Wilson, Samantha (Kate) Morgan Urtz & Claire (Robert) Pitzonka. Great-grandmother of Autumn, Morgan & Aaron Wilson, Bella & Remington Pitzonka and Aviaunna Kilmer. Sister of Ronald (Glenda) Miller, Brenda (Edward) Baker, and the late Stephen Brucker. She was preceded in death by her late husband, James A. Morgan.
Dolores retired after 30 years of working at Clarence Central Schools and then began a second career at Adesa. She was a lifetime Akronite & a snowbird resident of The Villages in Florida for the past 20 years. She enjoyed her flower gardens & playing cards with her friends & family, especially Canasta, with the games always being better when the girls beat the guys. Cooking for and being with her grandchildren were her most meaningful and prized times. They were her most precious treasures. Dolores’s faith guided her thru life’s ups and downs, never faltering in her dedication to her God and family. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Akron & Open Bible Lutheran Church in The Villages.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to Trinity Lutheran Church, South Newstead is appreciated. Calling hours are on Friday November 19 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Ross Funeral Home in Akron, with her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 20 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. When our Dolores arrived at the gates of heaven, we are sure that she was greeted by God and our Savior Jesus Christ with the words, “Well done good and faithful servant.”
