Dennis J. Schweigert

Dennis J. Schweigert passed away suddenly on August 11, 2023. He was born in Buffalo, NY, to Dennis J. and the late Ritamarie (Collins) Schweigert.

Dennis was a dedicated maintenance person in the food service industry. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and found peace and tranquility in the heart of nature. He was also a courageous firefighter, having served as a lifetime member of the Newstead Fire Company and also as a member of both the Crittenden Volunteer Fire Company and the Millgrove Volunteer Fire Department. Above all, his most cherished role was being a loving father. His children, were the center of his universe. 

Beloved son of Dennis Schweigert; cherished father of Alexander Schweigert, Makayla Schweigert, Grant Amidon-Schweigert, and Garet Amidon-Schweigert; loving brother of Annette Schwartz, Jennifer (Mark) Maier, and Monica (Elise) Benbenek. Dennis is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ritamarie (Collins) Schweigert.
