Deloise S. Grossman of Akron, entered into rest on December 7, 2019. Born March 8, 1935 in East Meadow, New York to the late Martin and Violet (Maben) Halvorsen.
Deloise proudly lived most of her life in Portageville, NY on Halvorsen Rd. which was named after the family farm. The farm bordered Letchworth State Park which she visited often but really cherished the beautiful views of the park from her beloved home. She loved living on Halvorsen Rd. where many fond memories were created throughout the years. Deloise was a 1953 graduate of Castile High School. She then married her husband Frank Grossman on August 20, 1955. Together they raised their family, ran their own business, and ministered to people. Deloise was also very proud of her long association with Wellsprings Ministries, where she served as a board member and volunteer for many years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, her trips to Germany, and visiting with her friends and family.
Loving wife of Frank Grossman for 64 years; beloved mother of Ruth D. Grossman (Tucson), Ron Grossman (Clarence Center), and Serena Grossmann (Akron); cherished grandmother of Claudiamarie Grossman and Ciera Grossman. She is also survived by a brother, Paul (Faith) Halvorsen and a sister, Serena Canterbury.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, December 14 from 10AM to 12PM at the Royalton Bible Church, 8457 Bunker Hill Road, Gasport with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at noon.
