Dawn M. Rastelli, 61, of Gasport, New York, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. Born in Batavia, NY on November 30, 1962, Dawn was a beacon of love, warmth, and strength to all who knew her.
For 44 years, she was the beloved wife of Vincent Rastelli, whom she married on August 9, 1980. Together, they created a loving home and raised four sons, Vincent (Allie) Rastelli, Daniel (Tina) Rastelli, Thomas Rastelli, and Christopher (Allison) Stacey. Dawn's love extended to her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She carried the legacy of a loving daughter to her mother, Marcia Hatswell, and a dear sister to Laurie Hatswell, Lisa Soika, Denise (Allen) Kumpf, and Patrick Hatswell.
Dawn was a dedicated housewife who took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home. She loved to cook and her kitchen was the heart of her home, filled with love and delicious meals for her family. Her passion for birds and squirrels was unwavering. She ensured her husband fed the birds in their yard daily and delighted in watching them through the window, admiring the variety that visited her feeders. Dawn also cherished her visits to Pemaquid, Maine, where she appreciated its tranquil beauty. Above all, family was what mattered most to Dawn. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones and her dog, Stella, who was always by her side.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, David Black. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
