Charles R. Landow

Charles R. Landow, formerly of Akron, NY, passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on April 8, 1948, in Lockport, New York, Charles led a life dedicated to his family, his work, and his country. 

Charles worked at Harrison Radiator/Delphi for over 35 years. He was known and respected for his work ethic and commitment. Charles also honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was awarded a Bronze Star, a testament to his courage and dedication. In his leisure time, he found joy in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trapping, a passion he held close to his heart. 

Charles was the loving father of Shannon (Eric McDougall) Landow, and Jennifer Landow; cherished grandfather of Justin (Sarah) Miller, Sean Howard, and Kayci Landow; and adored great-grandfather of Austin, Cassandra, and Samuel Miller. Charles was the dear brother of Rosemary (late John) Winslow, Mark (Rosanne) Landow, and Michele (Robert) Nunemacher, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Marguerite (Burkhardt), his parents, Robert and Ada (Riemer) Landow and a brother, Michael Landow. 

Visitation at Ross Funeral Home in Akron will be on Friday, April 4th from 5-7 pm.  A memorial service to celebrate Charles's life will take place 10am on Saturday, April 5th at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville.
