Carol Ann Hill, a remarkable woman of faith and love, softly made her journey home on October 2, 2023. Born on December 19, 1958, in Buffalo, New York, to Leonard and the late Emma (Moessinger) Coffta, Carol Ann was a beacon of light and warmth in the lives of those she touched.
A 1976 graduate of Akron Central High School, she married her loving husband, Steven Hill, on September 28, 1985, and together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and love. Her work as a bookkeeper at the Ford Gum Machine Company and Akron Airport showcased her meticulous nature, while her active participation in Evangel Assembly of God and SonRays Ministries reflected her unwavering faith and commitment to community service. More than her accomplishments, Carol Ann will be remembered for her boundless love and dedication to her family.
As a cherished wife to Steven, a beloved mother to Jamie (Aaron) Taylor and Joshua Steven Hill, and an adoring grandmother to Caleb and Olivia, her presence was a wellspring of comfort and joy. Her love for gardening mirrored her nurturing spirit, as she cultivated not just plants, but also deep, strong relationships with her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her siblings Suzanne (Robert) Webster, James (Chris) Coffta, Marty Coffta, Joe (Darlene) Coffta, Kathy (John) Sims, Michelle (Randy) Hollander, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Coffta, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Coffta, and her grandson, Noah Steven Taylor.
