On May 25, 2024, a loving and loyal soul, Caleb James Cray, was called home. Born on December 29, 1997, in Brunswick, Maine, Caleb lived a life that was rich in compassionate acts and filled with laughter, he loved to make those around him happy. His infectious laugh and the joy he brought to every gathering will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Caleb was a loving and loyal family man who wore his heart on his sleeve, anyone who knew him would tell you he gave the very best hugs.
His passion for life was evident in his many interests. He was a wrestler, played football, lacrosse, and golf. He liked cooking, enjoyed bonfires with his many friends, and spending time with his family. He especially loved his beloved dogs, Lucy and Finnigan. He loved fall horror movie marathons, and 80's music car rides with his mom, and enjoyed childhood summers spent back home in Maine with his Na Na. Caleb proudly served six years as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force, a testament to his loyalty and love for his country. The most important thing in the world for Caleb was being the best father to his son, Finley. Finley was his entire world and everything he did was for Finley. He wanted to be present for everything in Finley's life.
Caleb is survived by his son, Finley Cray; his mother, Kristy Pingitore, step-father, Anthony Pingitore; father, Ryan Shafer; brothers, Cody Cray, Aaron Ziemba Jr., and Samuel Pingitore; sisters, Carly Ziemba and Sicily Pingitore; the mother of his child, Alexis Harman; Na Na, Lois Cooper and her partner, David Huntley; his aunt, Tinamarie LaForge; uncle, Jon Westerlund Jr.; best friend, Josh Bald; wrestling family, "The Wolf Pack;" childhood father figure, Aaron Ziemba Sr., and fiancé, Alexis Smith; along with many more friends and family.
