Brenda Bruyere

Brenda Bruyere passed away on October 2, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born in Buffalo, NY on January 16,1972 to the late Peter Behm and Judith (Kress) Meyer.

Brenda was a 1990 graduate of Akron High School. She attended Villa Maria College and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Most recently she was employed as a teller at Key Bank in Lockport. She was a longtime supporter of Lockport Care Net Pregnancy Center. Brenda always enjoyed spending time with her family and especially cherished the time spent with her sons.

Beloved daughter of Judith (Richard) Meyer and Kathleen (late Peter) Behm; loving mother of Cody S. and Dawson W. Bruyere; dear sister of James W. Behm, Kathleen M. McDermott, Melinda Claydon, Elizabeth (Michael) Pask; cherished aunt of Rebekah (Robert) Bolibrzuch, Drake Pask, and Maddie Behm. Brenda is also survived by her great niece and nephew, Alana and Colton Bolibrzuch, her devoted friends, Dory Bundrock and Sandy Kress and her beloved four-legged fur baby, Amythest.

Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue where a Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lockport, NY.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Brenda’s name to the Lockport Care Net Pregnancy Center or the American Heart Association of WNY.
