Barbara E. Pierce

Barbara E. Pierce (Kaufman) passed away on August 14, 2020. She was born in Clarence, NY on July 14, 1937 to the late Perry and Eva (Birky) Kaufman.

Barbara was a 1955 graduate of Akron Central High School and worked for many years at Fisher Price. When she wasn’t busy keeping Sam in line, Barbara enjoyed gardening and gambling. Two of her greatest passions were her granddaughters, Stephanie and Brittany.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Samuel Pierce; two sons, Michael (Bonnie) Pierce and Kevin Pierce; two grandchildren, Stephanie Pierce and Brittany Pierce. She is also survived by a brother, Joe (Melody) Kaufman; two sisters, Gracie Brucker, Virginia (Tom) Lee, and many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by brothers, Norman Kaufman, George Kaufman, Nelson Kaufman, and sisters, Zelma Mast and Shirley Mast.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY where a Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
